Nikkormat FT2
Nikkormat FT2
The Nikkormat FT2 - in production from 1975-1977 - unveiled several noteworthy improvements, such as a hot shoe affixed to the pentaprism cover, a combined PC jack, a non-toxic silver battery, and more user-friendly ASA adjustment with a lock and a smoother slider. Furthermore, its ergonomically contoured advance lever was enhanced with a plastic grip, and its viewfinder was updated with Nippon Kogaku's Type K focusing screen, sporting a 3mm split image rangefinder, 1mm microprism collar, and 12mm circle indicating the area of the meter centerweighting. Lastly, the top meter read-out was adhered with "+" and "-" symbols to bring the FT2's design full circle. Numerous minor modifications were made to the FT2 in response to customer feedback from the FTn.
